Day Thirty-Six
With our "fun day" behind us, it was time to get back to work on the "list". Cara had struggled to find another ceiling fan for her office but wanted to go out one more time before her built-in handyman decided to hit the road.
After breakfast, we headed over to Casa Grande to the closest Lowe's Store as she was determined to come home with a new fan for me to install.
We did some other shopping, had lunch and then headed back to her place. Having already installed three fans in the past few days I was becoming quite the expert and before long the new fan was spinning away in her office. Here you can see the living room fan and curtain rods above the windows (waiting for curtains).
The temperature outside was really starting to heat up and by late afternoon was over 100'F.
Just when I thought my jobs were all done she asked me to assemble two new deck chairs so she'd have a nice comfy place to sit each morning as she contemplated the rest of her day.
The day was slowly slipping away so while she worked on getting dinner ready I was outside trying to figure out how to light her fire pit so we could have a nice fire after we'd eaten. Here's a shot of the fire pit and hot tub.
The wind began to pick up and this massive black storm cloud appeared from the south like some giant alien craft. I snapped this shot just before it got very dark.
We spent a nice relaxing evening around the fire reminiscing. We had a great time together over the past several days and I will miss my friend.
